Candle-Making Workshop for a Cause
🕯 Join us for a fun, hands-on candle-making experience — no prior skills needed!
🐾 All proceeds benefit the Mission Viejo Animal Shelter to help care for and rehome animals in need.
📅 Date: November 8 2025
🕒 Time: 1 pm, the workshop will be approximately 1 hour long, parking is available at the shelter
📍 Location: 28095 Hillcrest, Mission Viejo Every ticket helps light the way for a rescue animal.

Learn the art of candle making right at the Mission Viejo Shelter! Take breather or a unique party, or whatever the occasion is. . You will create two (2) 4 oz soy candles with animal friendly fragrances. Burn time for 4 oz candles are approximately 20-25 hours.
-Everything you need to make your candles are included: wax, chosen scent, wicks, wick stickers, glasses, labels, instructions
Check out all the pets available for adoption, volunteers will be available to answer questions and meet and greets.
Can't come to the workshop? You can donate to DAWG to support the shelter
Please do not bring your own pets, as this is a safe space for the shelter animals.

Our candles are vegan, and made with sustainable ingredients
- 100% soy wax for a clean burn, meaning no toxins at home, less soot and biodegradable, free from toxins. Best of all you are supporting farmers.
- Pthalate and paraben free scents
- Cotton Wicks
- Reusable glass jars
- Delviered to you using plant-based and recycling friendly materials.

- Burn for at least 2 hours, allowing the wax pool to reach the edge of the container or come close to it. If you don't, soy wax has " burn memory" and can tunnel in the future.
- Light your candles for only 2-4 hours. This will sure it doesn't get overheated and make your candles last longer.
- Trim your wicks to 1/4 of an inch. Check everytime before burning, this help to ensure the candle doesn't get too hot, less soot and makes your candle less longer.
